A terrible typhoon recently swept through Myanmar (former Burma), which created massive floods.Over one million were affected, 100 killed and over 150,000 people are now displaced refugees! More than half a million acres of rice paddy fields have been flooded. People were crying out for help especially in the means of food.
So very thankful to all who gave and made a difference in lives of many who were affected. We were able to purchase and deliver over 5,000 pounds of rice. This much needed main stable food was delivered by one of our pastors located in Myanmar to typhoon victims that the international relief efforts were not reaching.
In this remote foreigner-banned region of Chin State. It took three days to travel by several different river boats to finally reach this location

These people are so very thankful for all who gave. They see the love of God shining down on them, even in the midst of such a terrible disaster. God works through His people, and so many were blessed from the love shown to these people. Glory to God!

3Greetings in the most precious name of our Savior, Jesus!!! I recently received word from our pastor in Myanmar who is the facilitator for our children’s home there. He shared to me about the devastating typhoon that has hit his country creating devastating floods. Over one million affected, 100 killed and over 150,000 people are now displaced refugees! More than half a million acres of rice paddy fields have been flooded. People are crying out for help (food).

Most of the areas badly affected by the flood are very remote and in a certain location in the northeastern part of Myanmar called Chin State where I have traveled to and shared the Gospel. In one of the villages where I had ministered, many homes have been totally destroyed and one lady killed. Everyone in that village is seeking refuge at the local public school for there is no better option of going anywhere else.

1Less than two years ago typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines and killed over 6,000 thousand people and left thousands more homeless. Many good hearted Christians gave to feed those hungry and homeless from the storm. We were able to purchase and deliver 40,000 pounds of rice to the victims. We shared that 100 dollars would feed a family of 5 for a month.
Rice is also the main staple food in Myanmar. I am reaching out again in this disaster if in your heart you would like to feed a family of 5 for a month, thus giving the family members time to focus on rebuilding their homes while knowing their family will be fed.
